The Rio Tinto Iron Ore Community Partnerships Programme has a budget of $3 million per year to fund community partnerships in the Pilbara.
Funded and managed by Rio Tinto Iron Ore, the Programme takes a long-term, strategic approach to developing and benefiting communities in the Pilbara.
Our partnerships are formed with community, government and non-government organisations.
These partnerships focus on building community capacity and economic diversity; supporting Indigenous communities through social, employment and youth projects; enhancing and connecting communities; and promoting envrionmental awareness.
