Dollars for Doers

Many Rio Tinto employees are actively involved in their local communities, volunteering personal time to help keep services and activities running.

Dollars for Doers is our way of recognising and supporting our employees' individual volunteering contributions.

Through Choose your own Charity, we support the fundraising events our employees are most passionate about.

Up to four fundraising events will be chosen by employees in 2009 and promoted across all Rio Tinto sites in Western Australia encouraging people to take part.

Rio Tinto will provide funds in recognition of our employees' involvement.

Team Rio Tinto helps employees take part in community and fundraising activities that fall outside the nominated Choose your own Charity events. These activities must be aligned with Rio Tinto's statement of business practice: the way we work.

Employees who form a team with 20 or more colleagues are encouraged to talk to the Community Investment team to discuss the support available.
